Vada Belle is 3!

Today our precious little Vada Belle turns 3.
At three years old Vada Belle loves anything and everything that involves princesses, she loves dressing up, dancing and singing, playing with dolls, having tea parties and playing with her kitchen set. She is always pretending to be something (a waitress, a mommy, and so on). She is full of sass and keeps us laughing daily. She loves to play with her little princesses, lalaloopsies, and dolls with Elsie, play on the swing set with Ansley, and listen to her big brother read her books. She is very independent and will refuse help from Eric or I to do many things, even if it does take her five minutes to put on a pair of undies or shoes. She still loves her lovie and sucking on those two fingers. Her favorite color is pink, movie is Peter Pan, and she says she wants to be a fairy that says "bippity, boppity, boo" and a doctor "that uses doctor things" when she grows up.

We started her birthday off by having our usual birthday pancakes.
Then, for her birthday she asked if she could go see Team UmiZoomi at Tweetsie Railroad (since we have season passes there this year). We enjoyed our morning there, and the kids were so excited that daddy was finally able to come. Every time we've gone so far this year, they have been wanting to ride the chair lift, but obviously there is no way that I could get all four of them on (especially with my big baby belly) and I'm just not brave enough to let Jackson and Ansley ride by themselves yet.
After coming home and resting for a little while, we went to church for a Father's Day dinner. After that we went to Mamaw Dianne and Papaw Fred's house to let Vada Belle open her presents from them and then eat some cake and ice cream. (We had to wait a little while until dad and Ansley got home from the doctor to check on her bee sting on her eye).
Vada Belle said that her birthday day was "so much fun" and that she loved it.
Vada Belle with her best friends- her siblings (look at Ansley's eye from the bee sting- poor gal!)

The years are going by in the blink of an eye!
Happy 3rd Birthday to this beautiful, sassy and smart little gal.We love you more than you'll ever know and are so blessed that God chose us as your parents!

Vada Belle gets her ears pierced!

Vada Belle has been asking Eric and I for a while now if she could get her ears pierced. Every time someone would bring up earrings or asked if she wanted to get her ears pierced she would immediately respond with, "Yes!" On Sunday, May 31st, Eric had filled in for a pastor friend of his that was going to be gone that Sunday, to bring the message at a local church in town, so after church service we were discussing what to do the remainder of the day. We asked Vada Belle if she really wanted to get her ears pierced, and she of course said yes. Jackson tried and tried to talk her out of it by telling her how bad it was going to hurt and that she would have holes in her ears, but she didn't really listen to him. (He said he was afraid that it was going to hurt her). We took her into Claire's and had to wait for just a few minutes until the second person came into work (I didn't want to do one at a time because I was afraid she wouldn't go through with the second ear), and I think while we were waiting I almost backed out of letting her. We sat her in that seat and she held onto her lovie while they drew the dots on her ears to show where to pierce them. Once they counted to three and pierced them, her eyes got really big and I think she was in shock and wasn't exactly sure what happened. She began to cry and I noticed a container of lollipops beside of where she was sitting, and I asked the ladies that worked there if she could have one. They said, "Of course!" and once I let her choose one and picked her up, she was okay. She was so proud of herself for getting them pierced and has shown everyone that she pierced her ears. I asked Elsie if she just didn't want to go ahead and get hers done, too, and she said what she has been saying for months when I ask- that she would when she turned five. I told her that it was just a little bit over a month before she turned five and that she should just go ahead and do it, to which she replied, "Well, I think I mean I will pierce them when I turn six." Ha! Look how precious Vada Belle is with her new earrings (and so grown up looking!).

A short little video of her getting them pierced- how pitiful, huh?!

May 2015

May was a super fun month with the girls big dance recital and ballet, celebrating the last day of school and the start of summer, celebrating Jackson turning 8 years old, and lots of t-ball and baseball games in between all of that. Here are some more fun moments from May.

Jackson and Ansley had field day at school, and I was able to go enjoy the day with them. It was a HOT but fun day.
They also had awards night the last week of school where we were very pleased with the awards that both Jackson and Ansley earned this school year.
Jackson with his homeroom 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Morefield, Ansley Kate with her first grade teacher, Ms. Zukowski, and the both of them with their awards. We were very thankful that both kids had wonderful teachers this year!
Some random pics: Elsie and Vada Belle in their new sun hats; Vada Belle giving her baby brother kisses; Ansley and I cheering on Jackson at one of his baseball games; Jackson asleep; the three big kids and their "sleepovers" that occurs pretty much nightly; Vada Belle and her buddy Abigail at dance waiting on their big sisters; and all four kids after awards at school.
Mother's Day with my 4 (plus one in the bun) blessings:

One of Elsie's jobs to do while Jackson and Ansley were at school and Vada Belle naps is to collect the chicken and duck eggs. She loves this job and doesn't even care if she is in her fancy dress and heels while she is doing it.
Celebrating friend's birthday parties, Ansley and her duck "Abigail", Vada Belle playing waitress, and Ansley Kate with Dash.
We spent Memorial Day afternoon at one of Jackson's baseball games, followed by a cookout at Leslie and Todd's house.
Now we are ready for even more summer fun!
